Federal officials have notified all states that it will not fund November Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits if the federal government shutdown continues. The situation is evolving, and the State of Illinois is sharing the latest information in the interest of being transparent and helping those who rely on food benefits make the best plan for their families.

Illinois is awaiting further guidance from the federal government.
