Members of the Illinois Retail Merchants Association, industry leaders and elected officials gathered virtually on Thursday, October 29 to recognize the successes and challenges of the Illinois retail community during the 63rd Annual Meeting & Awards and to honor the 2020 Illinois Retailer of the Year and Leadership Award receipients.
Our thankfulness and admiration for our members’ commitment spreads across the retail spectrum. Across Illinois, these are the hard-working men and women who have put the needs of Illinoisans on their broad shoulders. These dedicated men and women continue to supply fresh groceries for our homes, fill life-saving prescriptions for our medicine cabinets, ensure a source of fuel for our cars, deliver food and products to our doors and provide a host of other critical retail products. We say an earnest, heartfelt thank you to our retailers for their tireless commitments by recognizing the hundreds of thousands of Illinois RETAILERS and their amazing team members as our 2020 Retailers of the Year!
An association is only as strong as its members are active. Throughout its history, IRMA has been blessed with many retailers who have stepped up to lead the organization and take it to greater heights. This year, we decided to begin recognizing those members who have gone above and beyond in their leadership to the association. We’re proud to present IRMA’s inaugural award for leadership to Karen Conn of Conn’s Hospitality Group.
