GOVERNOR’S BRIEFING

Today, Governor JB Pritzker‘s briefing focused on the disparate impact the pandemic has had in communities of color but particularly predominantly African-American communities. The Governor announced an expansion of testing and a concerted effort on testing within communities of color. 

ILLINOIS COVID-19 IMPACT UPDATE

Dr. Ngozi Ezike, MD, Director of the Illinois Department of Public Health announced 1,465 new cases  in Illinois, including 68 more deaths – the largest increase to-date. Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 17,877 cases, to date, including 596 deaths, in 83 of Illinois’ 102 counties.
