GOVERNOR’S BRIEFING
Governor JB Pritzker‘s daily briefing consisted of reporting the updated numbers which are as follows: 2,119 new cases in Illinois, including 80 additional deaths. IDPH is reporting a total of 43,903 cases, to date, including 1,933 deaths, in 96 of Illinois’ 102 counties.
As of midnight, there were 4,595 individuals hospitalized as a result of COVID-19. of those, 1,267 or 27.6% are in the ICU. Of those in the ICU, 772 or 60.9% are on ventilators.
Over the last 24-hours, the state has conducted 13,395 tests.

FACE COVERINGS SUPPLIERS
Beginning May 1st, everyone in Illinois will be required to wear a facial covering when in a public place. In order to assist retailers in the procurement of facial coverings, IRMA will pass along supplier information as received.
